Another month has gone by for Samuel! He left off saying ma-ma-ma-ma (which he did for a few weeks last month) and took up grunting like a cave man. He also has some new spitting noises and enjoys yelling. He got good at turning the pages of his board books and liked to put a preloaded spoon and fork into his mouth (when he wanted to...many times preferred flinging food about or removing the food first). He fed himself chunks of avocado and banana, but the main finger food he likes is sticks of toast. He doesn't seem to be that into eating or finger foods yet. Samuel has grown out of a lot of his 6-9month things already, so we had to get out the 12month clothes! I think he has a long torso like his daddy. He still gets around mainly by rolling and wriggling on his belly. We've seen him rocking on elbows and knees, but he only practices that in his crib. He woke up at 5:30am almost every day this month, no matter what time we put him to bed! It was a tiring month! Hope you enjoy the pics of Samuel going from 7-8months old!
Samuel continued to grow and explore his world this month. His main mode of transportation was rolling. He made efforts at slithering, but didn't get too far. He can sit pretty well and enjoyed playing that way. He napped 2.5 times a day and ate 2 solids meals a day. He added barley, apples, mangoes, peaches (ok the ones i made were a bit tart), pears, prunes, green beans, and peas to his diet. He cut his first tooth on 8/11 and the 2nd one on 8/21. He is a pretty good teether so far. Mainly he gets a bad face rash and is a little fussier and much more "chompy." He enjoyed playing with Grandma Van Dolson during her visit! He also experienced his first earthquake :)
