Raise your hand if you're a cute 4 week old!

Just so comfy with daddy, can't stay awake!

Samuel is doing pretty well this week! We will weigh him after his bath tonight, but last time he weighed in over 8lbs. He may have smiled at me on purpose the other day, but I'm not totally sure! We introduced the bottle to Samuel last week with success, so now daddy gets to feed him a meal about once a day. I am starting to store up milk to have on hand in the freezer. He also likes his pacifier every now and then since he has trouble coordinating his hands/fists/mouth :) Also, Samuel is holding his head up much better now, he lifts it when on his belly for burp time :)

After one week, Samuel gained between 10 and 11 oz! He had his first bath and met his grandma Gloria. Samuel eats every 2.5-3hrs, even at night, so we are really feeling the effects of sleep deprivation! His doctor said that he is growing so well that we can let him sleep as long as he wants at night. We are hoping he will pick up on the idea soon... His doctor pulled off the umbilical cord stump during the appointment. She also recommended Boudreaux's Butt Paste to treat his diaper rash and it seems to have done the trick. He has had a limited wardrobe because most of his clothes are still way too big! He is fitting better now though in his newborn size clothes. My recovery is going pretty well. I am so glad to be rid of the heartburn and swelling of pregnancy!
